Itinerary

DAY 1

❑ We Will be transferred to ship at early morning.
❑ After that the boat will start cruising towards the Sundarbans Forest.
❑ At 12.00 hrs we will arrive at HARBARIA around and hiking in the HARBARIA forest area to see wildlife and forest.
❑ After that boat will start cruising for KOCHIKHALI in the Evening.
❑ We will stay overnight at KOCHIKHALI on the boat.

DAY 2

❑ Trip through small creeks and canal by boat to enjoy the beauty forest and wildlife in the early morning.
❑ We will go for Jungle walk up to beach after breakfast.
❑ We will start cruising to KATKA wildlife sanctuary at 12.00 hrs and will arrive within few hours.
❑ We will walk in the Jungle near forest office, Tiger TILA.
❑ Bar–B–Q dinner will be provided and will stay overnight on the Boat at KATKA.

DAY 3

❑ Jungle walk near KOROMJOL forest office & crocodile breeding center in the early morning.
❑ We will leave KOROMJOL Around 13:00 hrs.
❑ We will arrive Khulna in the evening (approx.)
❑ We will take our dinner and that’s all

Is there any extra fees for foreigns ?

Yes, there is $65 or 5200 BDT as forest fees for each Foreigner traveler.

When is the best season

October to February(winter), when the sun is mild and pleasant, is generally considered the best season for visiting. The marine zone can be visited only in winter.

From March to May(summer)and May to October(monsoon)temperatures and humidity are high, increasing chances for sighting snakes and nesting activities in the lush green vegetation.

Will you plan larger groups?

Fees are based on groups of 12 people. We can arrange a tour plan for 100 People maximum and we will provide a discount for groups on the base price

Russel and his crew were all very good and friendly. The food was very tasty. The accommodation was basic but comfortable. There was enough coffee for everybody for 2 days. We enjoyed visiting the fishing village and once Russel was aware of this, he took us to another small village to visit as a bonus.

I told Russel that I didn’t like the fact that when going on walks he would separate foreigners and Bangladeshi people and let the foreigners go first. It made some people feel that foreigners were getting special treatment. Overall, I would be able to recommend a Sundarbans tour to others that would visit Bangladesh and other nature spots elsewhere which would have been more impressive.

I believe these tours are also best for Bangladeshi people that maybe live in the cities and have not had as much opportunity to visit nature spots.

Again, we were happy to have Russel us our guide and we were happy with the email correspondence with Sofhor Tourism before the tour.
